This site is designed to be usable by everyone.
Accessibility is the core of my professional practice, so it's also the standard I hold my own site to. I want every visitor — regardless of ability, device, or assistive technology — to be able to read, navigate, and interact with everything here.
Conformance target
This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, and exceeds it where practical — most text on the site meets the stricter Level AAA contrast ratio of 7:1.
What that looks like in practice
- Semantic HTML structure with proper landmarks, heading hierarchy, and list markup
- A visible skip-to-content link and clearly visible keyboard focus indicators on every interactive element
- Color contrast verified programmatically for every text and background combination, including transparent overlays
- Touch targets of at least 44 pixels for all links and buttons
- Respect for reduced-motion preferences — animations are disabled when your system requests it
- Descriptive alt text on informative images and accessible names on all controls, including screen-reader context for links that open new tabs
- Fluid, responsive layout that reflows without horizontal scrolling on small screens, with text kept to a comfortable reading measure
- Interactive demos built with fieldset/legend grouping, live status announcements, and full keyboard operability
Known limitations
Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts; if they fail to load, the site falls back to system fonts and remains fully readable. Third-party pages linked from this site (credential verification services, LinkedIn) are outside my control and may not meet the same standards.
